They program is underwritten by American Reliable Insurance Company in 44 states.  In Texas the program is underwritten by State and County Mutual Insurance Company.  It is not available in Alaska, Hawaii, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Oklahoma, or Virginia.  In California this program is available to Auto Club members only.  They offer what they believe to be is the best collector car insurance product currently available.  It includes Agreed Value Coverage, which is in the event of a total loss; the full insured value of your classic vehicle, less any deductible, will be paid.  They also offer inflation guard which means that your vehicle value automatically increases by 2% per quarter at no additional cost.  The extras in their policy includes spare parts coverage (up to $500), road guard with emergency towing reimbursement up to four events anywhere in the United States 24 hours a day 7 days a week, locksmith services, automatic 30 day coverage when you add additional cars, one liability charge per collection, and low classic car insurance rates which among the most competitive in the industry.  They have a very fast 5 step no obligation online quote that takes but a few minutes to fill out so that you can get the quote you need in the time you need it.

Classic Car InsuranceTo qualify for their classic car insurance program you must have at least 10 years driving experience, and no more than one moving violation or at-fault accident per person in the household in the past three years.  They are willing to consider all makes and models of classic cars including new, limited production vehicles, modified or custom vehicles, and vehicles in the process of restoration.  The vehicle must be garaged when not in use, and driven on a limited basis to qualify as well.   They do allow you to drive for pleasure without worrying about strict mileage limitations.  As long as you don’t use it for everyday travel you will be well-protected with your classic car insurance policy.

They also insure your kit car or replica car whether it is factory made, professionally assembled or home built.  To qualify for coverage you must agree that you understand that there is no coverage for timed or racing events, the kit car cannot be used by a daily driver, the vehicle must be stored in the garage, and you must have a good driving record.

To apply for any of the policies mentioned above, you must fill out a completed application, and send it in along with several recent, clear photographs, and the premium paid in full.  American Hobbyist Insurance wants to be there for your classic car or collector vehicle insurance needs and wants you to know that they will consider almost any car that falls within their qualification guidelines.  If you have any questions about your classic vehicle just call them directly and they can help you by giving you a reasonable classic car insurance quote over the phone.
